Chef Ting Lin, originally from the Fujian province in southeast China, grew up savoring delectable pork, creamy egg, and rich red bean bao. After settling down with his family in America, Ting felt compelled to create baozi for his daughter and sought to share the rich heritage and flavors of his childhood with his loved ones. Through years of meticulous exploration, which included journeys to China to study diverse baozi styles, Ting crafted a distinctive bao menu featuring authentic dough and flavorful fillings.

In 2017, Chef Ting Lin and co-founder Alex Wu brought Bao'd Up to life, opening four locations in Austin - Mueller Aldrich, Sunset Valley, UT West Campus, and Burnet Road. These popular fast-casual establishments specialize in premium Chinese comfort cuisine that is prepared with an emphasis on simplicity, convenience, and above all, freshness.
